Health Fair Fun!

Lucia reports, "Our community hosted a successful Health Fair on Saturday, October 18th, focused on breast cancer awareness, self-care, and fitness. Over 28 residents and five local health and wellness vendors participated.

The event offered valuable health resources, screenings, and wellness activities that encouraged residents to prioritize early detection and healthy living. It was amazing to see few men showed to this event, grab valuable information for themselves and loved ones. It was a day of learning, connection, and empowerment for all who attended."

The After-School Update!

Families in Ashburn Chase have been benefiting from another excellent learning opportunity: the chance to join the After-School Program! Lucia and Somayya have excelled in developing engaging and educational activities for the community's residents.

Lucia writes, "In October, our after-school program focused on STEM learning, building slides from toilet paper and paper towel rolls, reading and family involvement. Students explored fun, hands-on science and engineering activities that built creativity and problem-solving skills. Families joined in during our special involvement week, working alongside their children on interactive projects. It was a joyful month of learning, teamwork, and community connection at Ashburn Chase."

Spooktacular Halloween Party!

To end their truly exciting month, Lucia and Somayya treated their residents to a frightfully festive Halloween party!

According to Lucia, "Residents enjoyed laughter, food, bingo games, and fun dancing with our new dancing pad. The event kept kids safely entertained indoors instead of going door to door, creating a joyful and memorable community celebration for all."
