As the summer sun gradually sets and days shorten, it’s a great opportunity to look back on the lively activities that filled these sunny months. This summer has been particularly vibrant and packed with events, adventures, and opportunities for joy. Our Prime employees have engaged in their local communities and provided some wonderful engagement events.
In this blog post, we will highlight some of the summer's most exciting experiences.
Edie - Gypsy Hill
Edie arranged for her residents to visit the Kona Ice Cream Truck, organized an ice cream social featuring music from a local musician, and helped residents acquire fresh vegetables from Project Grows.

Michael - Virginia Scattered Properties
Michael interacted with residents during on-site cookouts and back-to-school backpack events. These events were provided over multiple scattered properties.

Rebecca - Maryland Scattered Properties
Rebecca organized a hot dog and snow cone luncheon to help her sites stay cool. She also delighted the community by inviting Dan McGill, a Solar System Ambassador involved in a public outreach initiative for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, to host a stomp rocket event.

Lucia - Ashburn Chase
Lucia organized a Back-to-School Supply Event along with a First Day of School Kickoff. Her community includes many children who benefit from the after-school program she manages.

Parkway Village
Mindy hosted a successful Back-To-School event at Parkway Village. Not only did she provide much needed school supplies to the community she also was able to secure 4 new FSS participants during the event.

Apple Tree Gardens
Apple Tree Gardens offered vital resources to their residents by hosting a community food pantry for FSS Participants, while Blue Ridge Technical College conducted a series of classes centered on job skills.

Mindy - Unity Terrace
Prime takes pride in offering resources to the residents we serve. Mindy organized a community resource fair, bringing in resources from various parts of the community to inform the residents. Additionally, she hosted a First Time Home Buyer Education class at her site, which was well received.

Kathleen - Oak Tree Village
Kathleen dedicated time to getting acquainted with the young people at her location. She organized a playground picnic and a Back-to-School night to assist the children with essential school supplies.

Halie - Scattered Sites
Halie has played a crucial role in planning summer events for various sites across Ohio and Pennsylvania. Additionally, she has been diligently overseeing our interns, Joe and Autumn, who have been vital in supporting the daily operations of all programs.
Summer offers its own special pleasures, but the transition to fall introduces a fresh array of enjoyable possibilities. As autumn arrives and the leaves transform into stunning shades of red and gold, we embark on pursuing new objectives and delve deeper into enhancing the lives of others.
We are making great strides, and it's thrilling to witness the advancement of our organization's efforts.
