Spring in Swing!

Sarah - Franklin South

Residents at Franklin South got to enjoy Taco Tuesday with a renter's insurance presentation by Joe Sictor from State Farm! Sarah is doing her part to bring education about renter's insurance to the community while providing a yummy meal. We know her residents are so appreciative!

Whitney - Parkway Village

Whitney shared the magic of The Community in Motion Bus that visits Parkway Village! She said, "The Community In Motion Bus—also known as The Book Bus—sponsored by the Waynesboro Office on Youth and the Waynesboro Public Library, stopped by Parkway Village today to kick off its season. This mobile resource brings library services directly to residents who face transportation challenges and offers children a variety of games and creative activities.

It also serves as a community bulletin board, sharing information about local opportunities such as free career‑building classes, substance abuse support programs, and more. This wonderful service is provided at no cost to Parkway Village residents and visits the community twice each month."

Such an amazing resource!

Edie - Gypsy Hill House

At Gypsy Hill House, Edie's eager residents have been participating in a series of cooking classes that are fun and informative while also encouraging the GHH community to work together!

Edie wrote, "Some of the recipes prepared included taco salad, beef stroganoff, chili, roasted broccoli, and carrot muffins. The four-week class is sponsored by Project Grows and keeps their organization in touch with the residents over the winter months. Next week, Project Grows will start taking orders for fresh harvest boxes with seasonal vegetables, eggs, meat and cheese included in the boxes. The Project Grows mobile market will be on-site again the first of May."
