The joy of the holiday season was in full force at Prime's residences last month!
Carly - Apple Tree Gardens
Apple Tree Gardens hosted a spirited event for their families in December. Carly's youngest residents enjoyed a magical visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus while their parents were given the opportunity to receive gifts for them. Additionally, a kind donor provided funding to purchase warm winter essentials such as coats, hats, and gloves. It was an evening of holiday fellowship and giving with an amazing turnout!
Lucia - Ashburn Chase
Lucia shares, "On Tuesday, December 23, Ashburn Chase hosted a festive Children’s Cookie Decorating Contest and winter break snacks give away. The children had a wonderful time decorating cookies, expressing their creativity, celebrating the holiday season together, and going home with lots of snacks for their holiday break. We were honored by a surprise visit from Mr. Kim Hart, Owner of Ashburn Chase, who stopped by to wish everyone a happy holiday and help us end the year on a joyful note.
Special thanks to our Assistant Community Manager, Natalia, for serving as the judge and making the contest even more exciting for the children.
A huge thank you to Ms. Wendy and our partners at Grace Covenant Church for donating $300 in gift cards, which made it possible to purchase all the supplies and snacks for the event. Their generosity helped create a memorable holiday experience for our youngest residents. This is the 1st time students and parents in our community worried less about snacks during the holiday break. Not even one phone call or text regarding food or snack insecurity during this winter break. We’re so grateful for the last minute blessing and are looking forward to continuing our partnership with them."
Whitney - Parkway Village
Meanwhile, at Parkway Village, Whitney hosted a holiday movie night! She says, "Participants enjoyed an evening of Holiday fun! Participants enjoyed each other's company over pizza and a Holiday movie. Current participants shared their experiences with the FSS program with non-participant attendees. Children enjoyed homemade hot chocolate, watching The Grinch, coloring, and a paper airplane throwing contest." It looks (and sounds) like a fantastic time was had by all!
