Prime CHD and partners celebrate the groundbreaking of The Coile—a 62-apartment development bringing affordable housing to Newport News, VA.

Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of The Coile, our newest affordable housing community that will soon welcome families in Newport News, VA. The Coile will bring 62 brand-new two- and three-bedroom units, serving households at 30%-70% of AMI. These units will form an integrated community in the heart of downtown Newport News, complemented by resident services that will help families remain stable, connected, and thriving. We are grateful to our partners, local leaders, and community members who stood with us to celebrate this significant milestone.

Construction on the Coile is scheduled to be completed in February 2027.
