December truly went by in a whirlwind. So many of our fantastic resident service coordinators took the time to embrace the spirit of the season by celebrating togetherness, warmth, and joy with their residents over the past month!
Whitney - Parkway Village
Whitney says, "Residents at Parkway Village enjoyed an evening of creativity and getting in the Holiday spirit. Residents created beautiful ornaments and decorations for their homes this Holiday season. Residents who participated in this workshop also got to take home a bag full of fresh groceries."
Rebecca - Somerset Village
Meanwhile at Somerset Village, Rebecca threw a fun birthday party for all residents who celebrated a birthday in December! From decorations to treats to good company, it looks like a phenomenal time was enjoyed by all in attendance!
Lucia - Ashburn Chase
Lucia shares, "I’m happy to report that 'Our Hope For The Holy Free Market' event took place Saturday, December 6th. This was a wonderful success serving over 48 participants a true blessing to our community. Families came out with excitement, and every child/youth received a warm winter coat, some received winter gloves and scarves in addition while adult residents went home with essential household supplies like toilet papers, men and women’s body wash, and laundry detergent and other much-needed items. The atmosphere was filled with joy, relief, and gratitude as neighbors gathered, mingled, enjoyed hot cocoa and cookie social and the kiddos watched their favorite Home Alone holiday movie.
A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Lynn and the amazing Regency at Belmont HOA members for their extraordinary generosity. Their donations made it possible for our children to stay warm this winter and for our adults to have the essentials they need at home. We are truly grateful for their kindness, their dedication, and our ongoing partnership.
This event is a beautiful example of what happens when communities unite with purpose—hope is shared, needs are met, and families feel seen and supported. We look forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration and bringing even more blessings to our residents."
Mindy - Unity Terrace
Mindy writes, "Unity Terrace families came together for a joyful Holiday Women’s & Children’s Life Skills Class centered on connection, creativity, and practical skills. Participants enjoyed homemade pepperoni rolls, peanut butter pie, chocolate chip cookies, and Reese’s Pieces cookies while taking part in hands-on, budget-friendly activities they can easily recreate at home.
Instructor Abby Bosler guided families through making homemade playdough, encouraging parent–child bonding and developmental play, and led simple holiday crafts using affordable materials—such as ornaments made from paper, glue, and leftover bulbs.
To wrap up the celebration, families participated in a holiday raffle, where one adult won a new air fryer and one child won a mini karaoke machine, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement to the event.
This class highlighted how meaningful family moments don’t require expensive materials—just time, creativity, and a supportive community. 💛"
Sarah - Chuckatuck Square, Newport Village, Steven Woods, Windsor Court
Since Sarah has recently joined the Prime family, she planned a series of meet and greet events with her residents. Her events served as special times for her and the residents to get to know one another and establish a foundation of trust and familiarity!
