Nourishing the Body & the Mind

Neissa - Oak Tree Village

Oak Tree Village started the year off right! Neissa's UNO event was a hit, drawing people with wholesome games, some tasty treats, and, of course, time well spent together socializing!

Additionally, Neissa arranged for a food pantry event to be held in Oak Tree Village's community room. Residents were invited to come and "shop" for a host of wonderful, nourishing food items to help them get through these cold winter days. Thank you, Neissa, for taking such wonderful and considerate care of your residents!

Lucia - Ashburn Chase

Ashburn Chase's after school program continues to be a source of fun and learning for the youngest residents!

Lucia shares, "In January 2026, Ashburn Chase successfully hosted a New Year-themed after-school STEM activity in partnership with the Loudoun County Public Library. Students took part in a fun, hands-on science project where they created “time capsules” using clear bottles filled with water and simple holiday décors including liquid glitter glue.

This creative STEM experience encouraged students to explore basic scientific concepts such as design, observation, and how materials can be preserved over time. The children were excited to decorate their bottles and proudly share their unique creations with peers. They are looking forward to bringing their project back next year to discuss their observations throughout the year.

We are grateful for the continued support of the Loudoun County Public Library in bringing engaging and educational enrichment opportunities to our community’s youth."

Amazing things are happening at Ashburn Chase!!
